Tavaria Merritt

Tavaria is the founder of Be the Change, the first openly LGBTQ+ community in the Tennessee prison system. At age 17 she was wrongfully convicted and given a sentence of 225 years, which has since been reduced to 50 years. She is working on securing an attorney to reopen her case.
