Hasham Kamran & Taylor Fleming

    Hasham is a Master of Public Health student at Simon Fraser University, where his research focuses on homelessness, the opioid-involved overdose crisis and more recently, refugee health. He sits on the national board of Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy (CSSDP). Hasham has worked closely with vulnerable populations in homeless shelters for over five years and is passionate about achieving positive health outcomes for all.

     

    Taylor is a PhD student at the University of British Columbia, where her research focuses on the intersection of housing policy and harm reduction for people who use drugs in Vancouver. She works as a research coordinator at the BC Centre on Substance Use, where she has contributed to projects related to low-income housing, overdose prevention, HIV and stimulant use. Taylor further advocates for housing and drug policy reform, and health equity for people who use drugs as a member of the national board of CSSDP.
