Benjamin Boyce

After time in prison for petty theft related to drug addiction, Benjamin obtained his PhD in Denver, Colorado. He currently leads communication class at the University of Colorado-Denver, both on campus and inside state prisons. His first book, Dr. Junkie: One Man’s Story of Addiction and Crime That Will Challenge Everything You Know About the War on Drugs, is a deep dive into addiction, human nature, drug laws and the future of harm reduction. He also hosts The Dr. Junkie Show, a podcast devoted to ending the War on Drugs.
