Donor Transparency Policy

The Influence Foundation is committed to transparency in the funding of its organization.

Support for The Influence Foundation comes from sources including, but not limited to:

* Grant-making nonprofit foundations

* For-profit companies

* Private individuals

The identities of all incorporated donors who give $500 or more to The Influence Foundation in any year will be made public. The Influence Foundation does not accept donations from anonymous sources, unless sufficient safeguards have been put into place such that the expenditure of the donation is made independently by the employees of The Influence Foundation and presents no conflicts of interest. Private individuals who donate $500 or more to The Influence Foundation and insist on not being publicly named may not appear on our public list of funders. All other private individuals who donate $500 or more will be listed.

Accepting financial support does not mean we endorse donors’ work, ideologies, services, products or opinions. The Influence Foundation does not allow anyone other than the editorial team of Filter to plan, assign or edit content prior to publication. The boundaries to the influence of restricted grants on Filter’s decisions are described in our Editorial Independence Policy.
